Specialist Regeneration Works PDF Print E-mail

MCCG undertakes specilist regeneration works on the Manning coastline in locations that are significant rainforest sites,  taking the pressure off the rainforest from weed species and allowing natural regeneration. There are eight sites where specialist regeneration work is being undertaken: Crowdy Head, Harrington, Manning Point, Farquhar Park, Old Bar, Saltwater, Diamond Beach, Red Head, and Hallidays Point.

Integration with Aerial Spraying

Specialist regeneration integrates with aerial sparying. At Manning Point. there was a two phase process for controlling Bitou Bush ( grey in 2005, and dark brown in 2006). Aerial spraying is fundedb y Greater Taree City Council's Noxious Weeds Department and the Department of Lands. The aerial sparying program is significanlty complemented by the efforts of the MCCG "Volunteer Worker" team.
